In plain words

• We want everyone to be able to use eMailPlane, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard only, magnification or reduced motion.
• Our target for the website and the dashboard is WCAG 2.2 level AA.

Our target

We aim for the website at emailplane.com and the eMailPlane dashboard to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

How we test the website

Every change to the website is run through these automated checks:

• every page is checked in a real browser for WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 level A and AA problems that automated testing can find;
• every page's HTML is checked for accessibility errors;
• every pair of text and background colours is checked against the AA contrast ratio, in both dark and light mode;
• with reduced motion turned on in your system settings, the homepage shows its final picture with nothing moving;
• every page starts with a link that skips straight to the main content.

Known limits

• Automated checks find only some accessibility problems. We have not yet had the website or the dashboard reviewed by an independent accessibility expert or tested with assistive-technology users.
• The dashboard does not yet go through the same automated checks as the website.
• The homepage animation is decorative. Everything it shows is also written in text on the page.

Email hello@emailplane.com with the page address and what went wrong. We reply within one week, and if we can't fix the problem quickly we will give you the information another way.
